As I began this journey, I did not realize how much technology was a part of Education. However, I am learning that technology and education go hand in hand. In this ever-changing world, teaching young minds how to use technology in healthy ways, is so important.
Technology is both a blessing and a curse. It can be a very dangerous place. However, is it also a blessing. It is a blessing in that it opens the world of learning to all minds. Children can learn all types of things in new and fun ways.
The types of technology that I enjoy are audiobook platforms, ClassDojo, and IStation assessment platform. I love watching students play learning games and not realize that they are indeed learning.
In my classroom, I have introduced a document camera. With this tool, I am able to project an assignment to a Smart TV and complete the assignment with my students. My students love the document camera. It also keeps me from turning my back to write on a white board or chalkboard.
I am eager to keep up with the ever-changing world of technology and education.
